Mesirow launches Working Parents Resource Group
Mesirow is committed to being an excellent place to work – both during "business as usual" and now, throughout the particular challenges created by the pandemic. To that end, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Mesirow Working Parents Resource Group – our new employee resource group for caregivers. This group is available to all employees focused on building their careers while looking after their families – or thinking about how to do so in the future.
The group's goal is to leave every member feeling more supported and empowered. We'll do that by providing access to targeted benefits and resources; by offering workshops on topics that are top-of-mind for working parents; and by offering one-on-one coaching. The group will also be an easy, constructive way to connect with other working parents throughout the firm, and to share common concerns, ideas and solutions.
On September 24, Richard Price, executive chairman, invites you to join us for our kickoff meeting. We’ll share more about the group, and you'll also have the opportunity to hear from Daisy Dowling, the Harvard Business Review’s columnist on working parent issues, and founder of Workparent, a specialty consulting firm that advises working mothers and fathers and the organizations that employ them. Daisy has worked with parents at KKR, Dow Jones, State Street Global Advisors, Morgan Stanley and the United States Air Force, amongst other organizations. She'll share some practical advice and recommendations on working and parenting during current times.
