Celebrating Black History Month in February with educational series

During Black History Month, we take a purposeful moment to observe and celebrate African American contribution and achievement throughout history.

Throughout the month of February, Mesirow is gathering employees, clients and community partners to participate in a dynamic educational series focused on leadership, diversity, equity and inclusion through the lens of the continued progress needed in our society and our places of work.

Our series, which we’re calling Four Wednesdays, consists of the following events:

Week I
Spotlight on the Mesirow Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council

Week II
Racism, Privilege and Allyship—an Honest Conversation with Andrés Tapia, global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategist and thought leader

Week III
Principles of Winning: 5 Keys to Create a Standard of Excellence with Desmond Clark, former Chicago Bear

Week IV
Mesirow Keynote Address: Keisha Lance Bottoms, Mayor of Atlanta

We look forward to this exciting series and to marking Black History Month at this historic moment in time.
