Robert Sydow is a Senior Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager in Mesirow High Yield Management. He is responsible for overseeing portfolio management, investment strategy and credit research specializing in energy, healthcare, financial, metals & mining, services and utility industries for the high yield strategies.

Bob has more than 30 years of investment management experience. Prior to joining Mesirow in 2017, he was a Senior Vice President at Pacific Income Advisers. Before that, he founded Grandview Capital and served in multiple positions at SunAmerica Investments’ High Yield Bond Department. He also held multiple positions at First Interstate Bancorp and Atlantic Richfield Company.

Bob earned his joint undergraduate degrees, summa cum laude, in economics and history and a Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from UCLA.
