We raise our voices today as the nation continues to confront the devastating impact of gun violence.

The people of Mesirow grieve the recent violent loss of life at a church in Laguna Woods, California; a street corner on Chicago’s Near North Side; a supermarket in Buffalo, New York; an elementary school in Ulvade, Texas; a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma; and in 210 additional mass shooting incidents in the United States to date this year. We remember the thousands who have been victims of gun violence over the decades, and we stand with all who condemn this senseless loss and demand real, lasting change.

In 2020, Mesirow became a founding corporate Impact Partner of Giffords, an organization working in partnership with a bipartisan spectrum of Americans, gun owners, voters and elected officials who seek to promote gun safety while recognizing second amendment rights.

Like Giffords, we believe that everyone should be able to live and work without the threat of gun violence. At this moment of crisis and inflection, we thank those working to strengthen bipartisan support for action that will result in safer communities.

Now is the time to transform the anger and heartbreak we are all experiencing into action.
