Todd Waldrop is the National Head of Public Finance at Mesirow. In this capacity, he oversees the structuring and advising of municipal financings. He also plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategy and growth of Mesirow’s Public Finance division, focusing on innovative solutions to meet the funding needs of municipalities and related entities across the country.

With over 25 years of investment banking experience, Todd specializes in critical areas including water projects, affordable housing initiatives, tax increment financing, and complex structured financings. His deep understanding of these sectors allows him to effectively address the unique challenges issuers face in securing financing for essential projects. Since joining Mesirow in 2000, Todd has acted as an investment banker or advisor on over $35 billion in financings.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Todd is passionate about mentoring the next generation of finance professionals. He actively shares his insights at industry conferences and through educational initiatives, contributing to the development of future leaders in public finance.

Todd earned a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and holds multiple FINRA licenses, including Series 7, 50, 53, 54, and 63.
