
Sarah Chodera is Mesirow Chief Marketing Officer. In this capacity, she leads the firm’s marketing and communications strategy and execution across media channels. Functional areas of responsibility include brand strategy and management, marketing technology, executive and corporate communications, media relations, thought leadership, product marketing and events.
Prior to joining Mesirow in 2019, Sarah was Senior Managing Director and Head of Marketing, Advertising & Brand at Nuveen, where she was a voting member of the firm’s Advisory Services Product Committee. Before that, Sarah spent 14 years as Head of Retail and Institutional Marketing at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Sarah is active in the firm's Employee Resource Groups and is a mentor in the LINK Unlimited Scholars Program. She is a member of P.E.O. International, a philanthropic organization that advances women's education and was named one of Crain's Notable Women Executives Over 50 in 2020.
Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Carleton College and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Chicago. She holds FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses.
