Rebecca Solomon serves as the Estate Planning Specialist in Mesirow Wealth Management. In this capacity, Rebecca acts as a centralized, specialized resource on estate planning for our Wealth Advisor teams as they deliver comprehensive financial planning to their clients.
Prior to joining Mesirow, Rebecca was a Vice President at The Nautilus Group, a membership-based service for New York Life financial professionals, where she provided support in the areas of estate planning, estate tax reduction strategies, business succession and philanthropic planning. She has held previous positions specializing in tax-focused estate planning at Plante Moran, Ernst & Young LLP and US Trust Bank of America Private Wealth Management. Rebecca also has 13 years of experience drafting estate plan documents in the private practice of law.
Rebecca has served as a facilitator, presenter and educator for a number of internal and external educational series throughout her career, including serving as an Instructor at Oakland University School of Business Administration where she taught the subject of Estate Planning for the school’s Personal Financial Planning program, a required education element for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
Rebecca earned a Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from Wayne State University Law School, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Michigan State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Michigan.
