Marc Sacks is Chairman of Mesirow Private Equity, a member of the Private Equity Investment Committee and is involved in all aspects of the private equity investment process.
Marc has more than 25 years of experience and has participated in the approval of investment commitments to more than 300 U.S. and European private equity partnerships, has served as a member of the investor advisory boards of 12 private equity investment firms and has developed relationships with a multitude of top-tier private equity managers in the U.S. and Europe. Prior to joining Mesirow in 2004, Marc was a Senior Partner for 11 years at Adams Street Partners, where he was active in all aspects of the firm’s private equity partnership investment activities. Before that, he served as program manager of private investments for the IBM Pension fund.
Marc is a member of the National Venture Capital Association and the Illinois Venture Capital Association.
Marc earned a Bachelor of Arts from Queens College and a Master of Business Administration from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
