John Calcagnini is a Managing Director in Mesirow Investment Banking. John has extensive experience advising on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and equity and debt financings. He has executed more than fifty transactions in the healthcare industry across a variety of sectors including medical devices & diagnostics, durable medical equipment distributors and healthcare services.
John has led many notable M&A transactions in the medical device and healthcare service sectors, including advising:
- Healthmark Industries Company on its sale to Getinge AB
- Naked MD on its sale to Revelstoke Capital Partners in the med spa arena
- Care and Help Home Care on its sale to InTandem Capital/HouseWorks
Prior to joining Mesirow, John was a Managing Director in the healthcare practice of Stout’s Investment Banking group. He was also Head of Healthcare at CRT Capital Group and Head of Medical Device Investment Banking in the healthcare practice at CIBC World Markets/Oppenheimer.
He was recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the Most Influential Investment Bankers for 2019. John is also a three-time Wall Street Journal All Star Equity Research Analyst.
