Brian Prater is a Managing Director for Mesirow Public Finance. He works with organizations and firms within the community development and affordable housing industries to provide access to capital markets through debt raising and custom finance solutions.
  
Brian has 25 years of community development finance experience, including fund creation and management, debt and equity provision for the development of affordable housing, schools, and community facilities, and impact investing. Prior to joining Mesirow, he worked for Morgan Stanley, where he was a senior member of the community development finance and public finance departments. He also worked as an executive at the Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF), one of the nation’s top Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) for more than a decade.

Brian holds FINRA Series 7, 52 and 63 licenses.
