Brian Kolva joined Mesirow Private Equity in 2019. He leads the firm’s legal and compliance initiatives. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Vice President and Legal Counsel at 50 South Capital.

Previously, he was an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP where he advised Private Equity sponsors in connection with the formation and operation of private investment funds and the organization and structuring of their management companies and advisor entities.

Brian received a Bachelor of arts degree from the University of Chicago and a juris doctor with honors from Washington University School of Law.
