Alejandro is a Vice President and Supervisory Principal in Mesirow Wealth Management, an SEC-Registered Investment Advisor firm. As a Supervisory Principal, Alejandro works to ensure the division’s compliance with firm policies and supervisory procedures. He uses his knowledge of SEC and FINRA rules and regulations to apply regulatory guidance, along with the firm’s policies and procedures, in the review of account-related documents and various supervision exception reports. Alejandro regularly collaborates with the firm’s internal business partners to ensure the efficiency of existing operational procedures and to implement new procedures and workflows as needed. He works closely with the Managing Director, Supervision to ensure ongoing review of supervisory functions and risk-related reporting. Related activities include, but are not limited to, suitability, trade activity, performance advertising reviews, audits and projects of limited and broad scope.

Alejandro joined Mesirow in 2023 and has eight years of experience in the financial industry. He previously worked at Bankers Life Securities/CNO Financial Group as a Central Supervisory Principal where he served as an in-house Officer of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ) Principal, where he was responsible for supervision of the activities of advisors including but not limited to, trading and advertising reviews, review of outside business activities, money movements, communications and internal audits.

Alejandro is involved with civic projects and youth membership within his community in Chicago.

Alejandro obtained a Bachelor of Arts dual-degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies, Communication, Media and Theatre from Northeastern Illinois University. He currently holds the Series 7, 24 and 66 securities licenses.
